As with most ‘ends,’ a new ‘beginning’ is right around the corner from BYU–Hawaii's April graduation
Newsroom: Summer semester replaces terms in 2012
For this first Summer semester, the university has offered benefits to encourage student enrollment that is traditionally lower during the summer. Students may still take advantage of these offers before the April 26 registration deadline.
For all students enrolled during the Summer semester, they will see an adjustment to the per-credit tuition rate. This lower rate is meant to add additional appeal to taking classes during this Summer semester.
In addition, for any continuing student who is returning home for the Summer semester (or any part of the Summer semester), they can register for any online course offered by BYU–Hawaii (section 300) for a significant discount per credit (price varies depending on country subsidy). [Register through the normal registration process by April 26.
Classes during Summer semester will be offered over the full 14 weeks with a five-week break in the middle (a ‘bridge’ class) or as a seven-week course in one of the two summer sessions. “We’re excited to begin this new Summer semester at BYU–Hawaii,” said Max Checketts, Vice President for Academics. “We look forward to the benefits and flexibility this three-semester calendar offers to all our students, both domestic and international, and both current and future.”
