(A message from the Office of the Vice President of Administration)

BYU–Hawaii welcomes Heather Hammond as the new director of Human Resource Services. She replaces Tessie Faustino who retired in February after serving in Human Resources at the university for 33 years. We're deeply grateful to Tessie for her many years of dedicated service.

Most recently, she served as Assistant Dean in the Office of First-Year Experience at BYU.

She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from BYU. She has a master's degree in Public Administration with emphases in human resource management, organizational behavior, communication and strategic management.

Heather's approachability, tenacity and organizational value has been recognized throughout her professional career at BYU by her receiving the Outstanding Staff Employee Award in 2001, the President's Appreciation Award in 2007, the Staff and Administrative Employee Recognition Award for Innovation in 2009, and the Outstanding Performance Bonus Award in 2011 and 2013.
