As winners of the 2015 Choral Grand Prix of Europe, the program for the University of Utah's Chamber Choir is known for their tone and clarity. The Chamber Choir has maintained very high choral standards while spanning a wide range of styles and repertoire. The Chamber Choir frequently sings with other groups within the school so that the members can enhance vocal technique.

Throughout "Dichotomy," which means a division or contrast between two opposite things, you will see Innocence is contrasted with experience, dread of war is juxtaposed with nostalgia for childhood, and grief over death turns to the joy of redemption, the darkness of humankind's animosity is overcome by the light of one soul bringing a message of love.

The program for the evening will include Veljo Tormis's "Curse Upon Iron," a pulsating and unrelenting cry against the many forms humans have shaped that metal into order to more and more destructively wage war against one another, and Eriks Esenvalds's "A Drop in the Ocean," a meditation on the triumph of faith and light over despair and darkness.
